Kamchatka Governor has held a meeting earlier today with the Russian children's rights ombudsman.
PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY. September 23. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Kamchatka Governor Alexei Kuzmitsky has held a meeting earlier today with the Kremlin’s children’s rights official Pavel Astakhov, who arrived in Kamchatka yesterday as part of his whirlwind fact-finding trip across Russia.
During the meeting, the high-ranking officials discussed the issues of social infrastructure development in Kamchatka, including the sports facilities project aimed at encouraging children and teenagers to take up sports and promoting healthy lifestyle as well as reducing drugs and alcohol abuse among children.
Later today, Pavel Astakhv will meet with the local executive authorities, visit centers for orphaned and physically challenged children and children’s medical facilities, a spokesman for the Kamchatka Region Administration said in a statement.
