VLADIVOSTOK. September 15. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Russia is calling for closing the Cheonan sinking probe, deputy foreign minister Alexei Borodavkin said in an interview published in the ministry’s website.
He said that the move would reduce tensions between the two Koreas.
“The Russian side and our Chinese counterparts are calling for closing the Cheonan sinking probe,” Alexei Borodavkin was quoted by Gazeta.ru as saying. “The fact that we have managed to prevent escalation of the confrontation indicates the importance of Russian involvement in maintaining stability in the region.”
