The police arrested a 17-year-old acquaintance of the abducted teenager.
VLADIVOSTOK. August 6. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Primorye law enforcement officers found the body of 15-year-old Aleksandr Matsenko, which was kidnapped and held for $1 million ransom Wednesday.
The police have arrested a 17-year-old suspect, investigative spokeswoman Avrora Rimskaya told Vostok-Media.
On August 4, parents of Aleksandr Matsenko called the police and said that their son went for a ride on his motor scooter and a few hours later an unidentified man called them from their son’s phone and said he had kidnapped him and demanded a ransom. Police promptly launched a criminal investigation and set up an investigative team.
“It was found out that the call was made from the phone of an acquaintance of the kidnapped teenager. When the police searched the suspect’s house they found the phone of the boy. The scooter was found near the house,” the investigative spokeswoman said.
The body of the boy showing signs of violent death was found at the backyard of the house, where the suspect lived. The evidence of the suspect’s guilt was so overwhelming that he confessed to the crime.
The kidnapper enticed the boy in a solitary place and killed him with a knife. Then he slipped golden ring off the dead boy’s finger and left him lying near his house. After that, he made the telephone call and demanded ransom. The investigation continues.
