PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY. July 24. VOSTOK-MEDIA – Kamchatka fishing vessels will be repaired in the military plant located in Vilyuchinsk city.

Kamchatka authorities intend to conclude this agreement with the shipyard owned by RF Ministry of Defense in the closed city. Minister of Kamchatka Fisheries Vladimir Galitsin informed about it Viktor Ishaev, Presidential Envoy to the Russian Far East who arrived in Kamchatka on a working visit yesterday.

At present this shipyard deals only with utilization of decommissioned submarines. But, according to Vladimir Golitsin, the plant possesses all necessary capacities, facilities and skilled specialists for repairing civil harvesting vessels.

The agreement will make it possible to reduce repair costs of fishery managers dramatically. They will not have to send their vessels to Korean and Chinese shipyards, reported Radio 3.
