The Aboriginals’ Communities of Kamchatka Region Applied to the Russian President

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKIY. March 13. VOSTOK-MEDIA - The Aboriginals’ Communities of Kamchatka Region Applied to the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev for assistance in solving vital question – provision for the traditional way of life and implementation of traditional business activities.
The authors of the appeal believe that there is very difficult situation in Kamchatka region in connection with coming tender on the right to conclude a treaty on provision of fishing grounds in order to provide leading of traditional way of life and implementation of traditional business activities.
The representatives of the communities believe that state officials of Kamchatka region violate priority-oriented right to utilize wild life guaranteed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, federal legislation, generally accepted principles and standard of international law.
Organizing the fishing grounds the Government of Kamchatka violated the basic principles of the law ‘About fisheries and preservation of aquatic biological resources’.
