VLADIVOSTOK. 8 October. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Financial crisis will last up to 2009 and influence poorly on the American and world economy.
Such a prospect was said by the Secretary of the U.S. Federal Reserve System, Ben Bernanke.
Mr. Bernanke remarked that FRS will reconsider current crediting rate because of falling stocks on the markets. “In this regard, FRS will have to reanalyze if the current financial policy is right”, - said Mr. Bernanke. He also said that “serious financial instability along with dropping assets and vulnerable credit markets can influence the whole economy if nothing is done”.
Though, Mr. Bernanke hopes that measures which are taken by FRS and other ministries will help overcome the crisis.
He also reported that “majority of financial institutions holds enough capital and liquidity in order to keep financial function”.
