2000 Civilians Are Killed in South Ossetia

VLADIVOSTOK. 11 August. VOSTOK-MEDIA. It has become evident that Saakashvili lied when he said to Western Mass Media that he had to adequately react to the invasion of Russian forces on the territory of Georgia.
Seizing of South Ossetia and bringing it under control of Georgia was a planned military operation, - says British “Guardian”. – Georgian president promised to retrieve lost territories. Assault was thoroughly planned so that it coincided with the opening of the Olympic Games and Russian Premier would be in Beijing. But if Georgia supposed to get Russia confused while Premier was away then Georgian leader had to turn off soon”. What Saakashvili wanted to achieve in real became evident after prime time on TV: “Now it is not only a matter of Georgia. This is an offence for America. And its values”. “Saakashvili thought that his friends in the USA and Great Britain would defence him, - reported British “Times”. But there was no defence. “Now we are not talking about anything else that beyond the international diplomacy”. – said on Sunday anonymous high ranked representative of American Administration. Another anonymous representative in Washington said that the USA has recently declared to Tbilisi leaders: they do not have any chances to win the war against Russia and have to hold on diplomacy. It is likely that Condoleezza Rice during her recent visit to Tbilisi held talks with Saakashvili about it. It means that Americans knew about war plans of Georgia but decided not to warn Moscow.
Meantime, Saakashvili continued to get ready for war. There was no necessity to persuade Georgian population. They received only official information from Tbilisi. Russian channel broadcasting was cut off. All Internet resources were blocked. American Mass Media occupied all air-time. Tbilisi was sure about “professionalism” of American Mass Media. It seems the main support for the government of Saakashvili.
American journalists were very sufficient in “professional” activity. And here are only some evidences of their “professional and unbiased” work. When Russian Ambassador in Georgia declared about 2000 civilians killed, CNN reported immediately: “In battles between Georgia and Russia were killed 2000 people”. Later the same CNN reported: “Battle between Georgian and Russian forces intensified and moved to the capital of Georgia”. At the same time all Mass Media reported about a peaceful meeting at the embassy of RF in Tbilisi.
