World Powers Share Quotas

VLADIVOSTOK. 1 August. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Specialist in ecology assure global climate change can not be averted. In many regions of Russia it leads climate to become hot and dry which, in its turn, can negatively influence on agriculture and people's health in Russia. Despite the world ocean is the main cause of green house gases, climatologists are sure that climatic system is easily unbalanced even with the light influence.
One of the present examples is the Altay glacier melting which was fixed at the media-training “Melting Beauty of Altay”, organized by Russian Ecological Centre and G. Belh Fund.
As said by an information source from Rosgidromet and participant of the training, problem of climate change has become global in ecological, economic and political way. Now talks are being held to create a new treaty that could become valid after Kiyoto protocol restricting emission of green house gases in the atmosphere.
“Now they share quotas, - said the resource. – Every country shielded with ecological needs strives to follow its economic interests. Every country is trying to do it on others’ expense.”
Russia, as the same resource says, stands for special quota conditions and more equal sharing of responsibilities. It is based on colder climate of Russia and its dependence on hydrocarbon fuel. New round of treaty talks opened in Ghana. New treaty is expected to be sign in 2009.
