Biotechnopark in Primorye

VLADIVOSTOK. 1 August. VOSTOK-MEDIA. The first biotechnopark will be located in Lazovskiy district on the shore of the Kievka Bay. Such location was chosen deliberately. The fact is for many years there have been the scientific, educational and industrial complex which is planned to become a ground for a new biotechnopark. It also will include the mariculture centre “Zapovednoe”, scientific base of FESU, department of invertebrate cultivating from Preobrazhenskiy fish factory and existing mariculture industry.
Kievka is one of the wonders of Primorye. That is the clean region and traditional place of salmon spawning.
Organizing bodies are PIFO centre, FESU, Joint Stock Company “Preobrazhenskaya Base of Trawling Fleet”, CJSC “Preobrazhenskiy Fish Factory” and Administration.
As highlighted by Director of the fish factory, Igor Ulevskiy, the main goal of this ambitious project is the implementation of high technology in order to produce perspective fish and sea products, work out innovative industrial and scientific technologies, train manpower for fish industry of Russia and Primorye.
First of all, organizing bodies plan to start development of mariculture implementing new methods, and breeding of valuable hydrobionts. In this regard it is planned to increase power for hydrobiont breeding, enlarging plantations of escallops, mussel, sea-urchin and laminaria; creation of special areas for mariculture processing on the base of Preobrazhenskiy fish factory.
Specialists report that the new biotechnopark will become a unique centre to do many tasks – researching, industrial, and educational and ground for creation and implementation of innovative projects.
