Poachers Arrested on Sakhalin

UZHNO-SAKHALINSK. 22 July. VOSTOK-MEDIA. During the implying measures in the framework of “Fishing Season 2008” staff of the Department of Internal Affairs in Tomarinskiy district along with the director of Governmental Control, Supervision and Protection of the Water-Biological Resources Department on the bank of the Krasnogorsk river (Tomarinskiy region) arrested a group of poachers illegally bagging humpback salmon.
By the arrest poachers obtained 658 items of humpback salmon and 45 kg of salmon caviar. Therewith, it was withdrawn: a dragnet with which they obtained the fish, a hunting rifle MP-153 and 9 cartridges of 12 size.
In the arrested group there are 3 dwellers of the region centre: two men, 27 and 39, and a 17 year old girl; and a man, 41, - all are residents of the city Holmsk, township Leonidovo. They told to be unemployed. At the moment the verification procedure is being held under which the decision will be made according to the Article 145 of the Criminal Procedure Code (Decisions made upon results gained in the crime report investigation).
