Culinary Art Anniversary Celebration in Vladivostok

A chief cook from America, whose name is still a secret, will share his knowledge at the unique master-class

VLADIVOSTOK. 18 July. VOSTOK-MEDIA. Culinary Art Festival will make the beginning of autumn tasty! The greatest hospitality industry festival attracts hundreds restaurateurs from the whiole region celebrating its 5th anniversary. Everybody can taste and smell such a great festival on September, 12-13, at the sports complex “Champion” (Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service).
The managing director of the restaurant agency “Anons”, Roman Ivanishev, due to whose efforts this artistical festival has been held for many years, says that for 5 years hospitality industry has experienced many positive changes. One of the main goals of this festival is summing up the results and directing the ways of further development.
An accent this year is put on traditions which have been acquired for 5 years. Festival program will include many fascinating competitions which attract a great number of participants and curious visitors.
In the nomination of the best restaurateur there are 6 categories which include such famous championships as the Far Eastern Cook and Confectionary Festivals and the most dynamic – The Far Eastern Barman Festival. One of the most intriguing is the Far Eastern Coffee Festival which welcomes all barista willing to get the palm from Khabarovsk. As the organizers promise, the most thrilling will be the III Far Eastern Festival “Japanese culinary/ sushi” as the cooks have to show all their proficiency, Japanese stubbornness and self-restrain. Also celebration will include the II Far Eastern Service Festival which is very young and important, thinks Roman Ivanishev. All 6 championships will be evaluated by an international jury which has become a prestigious tradition of the festival.
One more peculiarity of the Festival is the exhibition “Hospitality of the Far East”. It attracts thousands people as well. Among them are: artistic chief-cooks, confectioneries, sommeliers, baristas, owners of famous hotels, restaurants and investors. One of the specialties of this year is that visitors can watch the exhibition stands and taste too many dishes cooked by chief cooks.
However, the most intriguing tradition of the Culinary Festival is the annual surprises from organizers. This year will bring a lot as well. The first surprise was the news that this year a famous chief cook would come to Vladivostok. His name is still a secret. He will share his experience in the framework of master-class which will be, to Roman Ivanishev’s mind, “irreplaceable to all butchers”.
We recall, the I Culinary Art Festival was in 2003. Since that time the Festival has become the most significant for the hospitality industry of the whole Primorsky Region. Last IV Far Eastern Festival took place on September, 7-8 in the building of the Vladivostok State Circus. Participants held several records: 10.000 people visited that festival and 157 participants came to show their creativity.
