Scientists from Primorye went to solve the problem and save the animal

VLADIVOSTOK. 18 July. VOSTOK-MEDIA. In the morning on July 18 the Amurskiy branch of WWF and Institute of Sea Biology (Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Science) got the information that a white whale was trying to throw itself on the coastline in the Rudnev Bay near Nakhodka, township Domashlino. Some tourists on the coastline were trying to bring it back to the sea but a white whale always returned.
As the managing director of the Sea Biology Institute, Andrey Andrianov, told to the RIA “Vostok-Media”, a special brigade with divers and a trainer went to the place. They took some medicine and antibiotics to give a treat if necessary. But first of all, they have to understand a reason of such behavior. It could be an injury or illness. Also it could be a domestication factor when an animal comes to people. The brigade will know how to treat the animal at the place.
A special group from the laboratory of the sea animals (Far Eastern Institute of Fishing Industry and Oceanography (FEIFIO) went out to the coastline too.
The assistant of FEIFIO director, Yuriy Blinov, says the Japanese Sea coastline has never been an inhabitation of white whales. Probably, tourists confused a white whale with a killer whale. Specialists will come to the place in several hours and get all the information.
